Racism Free Ontario Forum Volunteer Posting
(Part Time – Until March 21)

The Racism Free Ontario Initiative is a 100 day anti-racism campaign, across Ontario. During the campaign, community organizations, groups, individuals and media from across the province will be working together to create awareness about the impact of racism and about potential solutions to addressing various aspects of systemic racism.
The Council of Agencies Serving South Asians (CASSA) is currently recruiting a team of volunteers to help out with the Racism Free Ontario Forum that will be held on March 21.
The core objective of the forum is discuss the impact of racism on youth and adults in Ontario.
We are looking for a team of volunteers to be responsible for assisting in event coordination, media relations, community outreach, management and other administrative tasks. These positions will work closely and report to the project coordinator.
Responsibilities:
- Community outreach to mobilize the community against systemic racism
- Assist in organizing the Racism Free Ontario Forum panels and workshops
- Poster design and social media circulation
Qualifications:
- Volunteers of all ages are welcome
- Relevant skills or experience
- Commitment to anti-oppression and social justice
- Awareness of systemic barriers faced by people of colour; either from first-hand experience, work and/or educational experience
