Past Updates

CASSA in partnership with Professor and Research Chair in Urban Health at the Daphne Cockwell School of Nursing and Co-Director of the Centre for Global Health and Health Equity at Ryerson University, Sepali Guruge are organizing the 6th Annual Health Equity Summit. This year’s theme will be focusing on Immigrant Women’s Health and Well Being through an Intergenerational Approach.  The Summit is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, September 27th 2016 at Ryerson University from 9:00 AM- 4:30 PM. We hope to have approximately 100 attendees ranging from healthcare providers and professionals, community based organizations and students. Along with the attendees we hope to have approximately 15 speakers to discuss and engage our audience in dialogue. We hope that this dialogue provides vital information for a greater initiative. This initiative is the South Asian Health Strategy that is dedicated to addressing the unique health needs of South Asian community in Ontario.
